Media campaigners call for Celebrity Big Brother axe following X-rated episode

Celebrity Big Brother has suffered further controversy after a series of X-rated encounters prompted calls for the show to be axed.

Campaigners Mediawatch-UK have criticised the show for airing inappropriate content on Tuesday evening after contestants Stephen Bear and Chloe Khan enjoyed a steamy display that left many viewers pondering if they had actually had sex.

Likewise semi-naked Lewis Bloor and Marnie Simpson were seen engaged in a very public display of affection while showering in the Celebrity Big Brother bathroom.

Speaking to MailOnline, a Mediawatch spokesperson slammed the show for employing cheap tactics in a bid to boost their viewing figures.

'We all know that Channel 5 has long substituted controversy for creativity, but these latest scenes on Celebrity Big Brother show a new level of desperation.

 All programme makers seem to be pushing the boundaries on sleaze at the moment - is there anything they won't show?'

Further concerns have been prompted by the relative ease with which under-age viewers can access the show – watched by 1.5 million on Monday evening – via streaming services.

'What's most concerning is the fact that such programmes are freely available to children throughout the day via on-demand services that have minimal age verification controls in place.'

The traumatised American – who is the brother of pop superstar Ariana Grande – joked: ‘Chloe was taming that Bear, she was bouncing up and down on it. We were all mesmerised by it. I felt like I was watching softcore porn. I was getting embarrassed. Oh my god. Where am I?!’

Despite Chloe and Bear’s seemingly X-rated antics the previous evening, he denied to his pals that anything untoward had happened.

Aubrey O’Day sighed, ‘I just ignored him, I’m not giving him any attention’, while annoyed Ricky Norwood agreed, ‘It’s ridiculous’.  

Fans were left wondering exactly what happened in the toilet during the final seconds of Monday night's CBB.

Stephen and Chloe were seen disappearing to the cubicle and - with their microphones left on - were overheard in a private clinch.

The footage prompted a flurry of Channel 5 viewers to take to social media in horror, asking if the on-screen couple finally had sex on TV. 

With their microphones capturing a little too much, Stephen was heard saying 'I want to f*** you' before Chloe's moans were only interrupted by her calling Stephen a 'Naughty Teddy Bear'. 

'Big Brother should take away Bear's mic,' said one horrified Channel 5 viewer after Monday night's show.

Chloe's moans were certainly not well received by the viewing public, with many asking if she was overdoing it.

One user said: 'Doesn't take long for @ChloeKhan - they were only in the toilet for 2 seconds and she was auditioning for the next Herbal Essences advert!'

While many were concerned for their own ears, they also took into account the couple's parents, as well as Stephen's girlfriend at home, Lillie Lexi Gregg.

On his relationship status, another said: 'So Bear cheated on @LillieGregg with @chloekhanxxx really ........' asked one concerned fan.

Bear publicly called things off with Lillie at the weekend, declaring that he needed to be single.

Speaking to his housemates about his relationship on the outside, Bear says: 'I need to be single! 

'I thought I would be with her forever, but after thinking in here, she's not the one. I haven't got time for a girlfriend.'

Last week, Stephen was seen to ask Chloe's mother for permission to be her boyfriend, jokingly calling her on a slipper that he pretended was a phone.

Bear has been enticed by Chloe's intelligence, as well as her looks though : 'I think you're fit but I think you're clever, too,' he told her on Monday. 

Former X Factor starlet Chloe also teased Bear earlier this week by hopping in to the hot-tub and stating, 'I have no knickers on.'
