The controversial Save Mayowa Campaign has added a new twist after the Founder of Lifestake Foundation, Aramide Kasumu, who was involved in the fundraising, alleged that the family of the ailing Mayowa Ahmed lied that only N30m had been raised while the correct amount was N85m. The campaign was initiated to raise funds for surgery in a foreign hospital for Mayowa, who is suffering from ovarian cancer, but there have been allegations that the patient’s family was using her condition to defraud members of the public. Kasumu, in a video posted online on Friday, appeared to have confirmed the allegations when she accused Mayowa’s family members of lying about the amount that had been raised for the patient. While some believe that she worth so much, others think it’s just a sham, how could a mere blogger worth anything. Well, the information you are about to read will settle all the arguments once and for all. Hands-On With Gionee M6, 'The World's Safest Smartphone' That Provides Extra Mobile Security

Image
With Apple’s recent public battle against the US government over iPhone encryption, and all these news of celebrity nude photo hacks, conversations about mobile security are at an all time high. And rightfully so, since cyber crime is the fastest growing threat in the world. While smartphone manufacturers have put in serious efforts on that front, almost all encryption on our mobile devices are done on the software side — software that, if a company really chooses to, can break through via “back doors.” Chinese smartphone maker Gionee hopes to address these concerns with what they say is the world’s first phone with a dedicated encryption chip inside. The concept, they say, is this: encryption on a hardware level is much stronger and harder to break than on a software level, because the latter operates within a device’s operating system and can be infiltrated, while hardware encryption is self-contained (Info Security magazine backs this claim). The Gionee M6, which the Shen

Nine Sentences you should Never say in a job interview

It’s easy to be general about your background in a job interview. It’s also easy to focus on selling yourself — and fail to develop rapport in the process. You want to make yourself look good, of course, but if you took high school English, you probably heard “show, don’t tell.” It applies to the interview, too. Whether you follow this advice can make the difference between landing a job or not.   We asked members to name one sentence job candidates are saying in interviews that is making employers disengaged. Here is what they said: 1. “I Have XYZ Skill” “Telling It” instead of “Selling It” statements. Just saying that you have a skill is not interesting. Offering proof that you have a skill  is  interesting. Giving examples of past successes  in a “Challenge-Action-Result” format is an easy way to sell the interviewer on your experience.  2. “I’d Be Happy To Recite My Resume To You…” When hiring managers ask you to “Tell me about yourself,” that is not
